Mr. Gore is an extremely good surgeon with the ability to put you at ease while explaining everything really clearly regarding the whole process. How Painful Is Eyelid Surgery?
While eyelid surgery isn’t usually considered very painful, it can produce feelings of pressure and swelling immediately after the surgery is performed. Bruising is also a common part of the recovery process for eyelid surgery.
What Is The Best Age For Eyelid Surgery?
Like most surgical procedures, there is no set age for eyelid surgery, but most patients experience signs of ageing around the eyes at between 30 and 60 years old. Younger patients might experience longer-lasting results due to enhanced skin elasticity, but even older patients can get the results they want when they work with Sinclair Gore.
Where Are The Blepharoplasty Scars?
Scars from external eyelid surgery are usually hidden in the natural creases around the eyelids. These scars are inevitable when removing lax skin, but they typically heal extremely neatly because of the thin nature of eyelid skin. Such scars are usually very difficult to see once they have matured. Sinclair Gore also performs scarless lower eyelid surgery, where fat is removed or repositioned from within the lower eyelid, needing no external scars if the skin quality in this region is good.

What Happens
During Eyelid Surgery?

Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, Sinclair Gore will explore your aesthetic goals and discuss how eyelid surgery and other facial rejuvenation procedures could help you to achieve them. He will then devise a treatment plan and provide answers to any questions you might have. Vision tests and general health checks will also be carried out prior to the operation.
Treatment
Sinclair Gore will carry out your eyelid surgery and any additional facial procedures at a state-of-the-art private hospital in either Banbury or Reading. Blepharoplasty alone takes between 45 minutes to over 2 hours, depending on what combination of procedures is chosen; additional treatments may extend the operating time.
Aftercare
Following the procedure, Sinclair Gore will keep you monitored for some time to ensure that you are recovering well. In some cases, you might be able to leave that day, or he may plan for you to stay in hospital overnight to monitor your condition. Once you are discharged from hospital, you will need someone to drive you home as your eyes readjust.
